Informational clause for authors of Competition Works
- Controller of personal data
The controller of your personal data is the Prof. Jerzy Wiszniewski Foundation [Fundacja im. Prof. Jerzego Wiszniewskiego] with its registered office in Warsaw (“we,” “us”). You may contact us as follows:

- Purposes for processing and legal basis for processing
We will process your personal data in order to:
- Conduct the Competition, including:
- Assessing the work submitted by you
- Notifying you of the results of the Competition, and the time and place for ceremonial closing of the Competition and awarding of the prize(s)
- Public announcement of the results of the Competition
- Payment of the prize to your account if you win the Competition.
The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest of ensuring the possibility of taking part in the Competition and complying with our obligations arising out of the public undertaking described in the Rules.
- Comply with our legal obligations, arising in particular out of tax and accounting regulations and regulations governing the operations of the foundation.
The legal basis of the processing is the necessity to comply with a legal obligation on the part of the controller.
- Period of retention of personal data
We will retain your personal data for the period of conducting the Competition and through the limitations period for claims arising out of the Competition (public undertaking).
We will retain your personal data processed for the purpose of compliance with a legal obligation, for the period necessary to comply with our legal obligations arising under tax or accounting regulations.
- Recipients of data
We will provide your data to members of the Competition Committee and authorised persons involved in conducting the Competition. We may also provide your data to our suppliers we hire to perform services related to processing of personal data, such as providers of IT services. Such entities will process data on the basis of a contract with us and only in accordance with our instructions.
- Your rights related to processing of personal data
You have the following rights related to processing of personal data:
- The right to object to processing of your data on grounds relating to your particular situation
- The right to access your personal data
- The right to demand rectification of your personal data
- The right to demand erasure of your personal data
- The right to restrict processing of your personal data.

Right to object
Because we are processing your data on the basis of our legitimate interest, you have the right to object to processing of data on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for protection of personal data, i.e. the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
- Obligation to provide data
Providing personal data is voluntary but necessary to take part in the Competition and to enable the Organiser to notify the winners of award of prizes. Insofar as it involves compliance with the obligation to withhold advances against income tax on prizes awarded to the winner, provision of data is obligatory under the Personal Income Tax Act.
